Are you tired of the anonymous predictability of the hotel rooms? Do you want a place where you can experience the countryside (the real one, with dogs, cats, pecking hens, braving donkeys, and goats chewing the flower – beds), taste home-made food-vegetarian, organic, local – go and explore different itineraries: touristic, cultural, archaeological, food-and-wine, cycling and Spa journeys?
A few hundred metres of unpaved road – first step in slowing down your pace – will be rewarded with our family welcome, fire place lit in winter, garden with swimming-pool for summer days, mattress filled with real wool to rest and our “Bella, Buona, Bio” breakfast. We are few minutes away from the Orte exit on A1 Motorway, even if it doesn’t look like it: around us only nature and open landscape of the Tevere Valley.
Sustainability and harmony with nature are principles that inspire our daily life from well before they were “en vogue”: we warm up water with solar energy, we are frugal with water and electricity, we try to re-use all our left-overs and scraps in order to produce the least possible waste, we use vegetables in season, often grown by us.
We help people’s regeneration through live juices (raw food) and colon cleansing (colon hydrotherapy).

Casale Hortensiae is absolutely “family friendly”. Pets are welcome, provided they do not attack our cats, chickens and donkeys!
Prices
B&B: the price per night for two people sharing a double bedroom is 80 euros, including breakfast. Check-out: 10:00 a.m.
“Country holiday”: For those wishing to spend a relaxing day enjoying the pool, the garden or the fireplace, the price is 45 euros per person/day, full board.
Please note that you can combine the two “formulas” within one single stay. The whole house can also be rented during the summer, for minimum stays of one week. Pets are welcome, as long as they behave peacefully in the presence of our own animals (dog, several cats, goats, chickens and donkeys).

If you love country life, in the summer months (May to October) you can rent out the whole house for a truly unforgettable holiday with family and friends (minimum stay: one week).
The house comprises 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, and can sleep comfortably up to 11 adults and two children.
On the ground floor you will find a spacious live-in kitchen with fireplace and a table for 12; a living-room with fireplace, piano and glass conservatory overlooking the garden; a utility room; and, five steps up, a bedroom and bathroom with shower. On the first floor you will find two double bedrooms with ensuite bathroom; one twin room with two additional beds on a mezzanine; a bathroom (with bathtub); and, a few more steps up, another ensuite double room.
A large covered terrace with a table for 12 and a view of the garden and pool completes the property. The house is equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, satellite TV, stereo, wi-fi internet access and mosquito nets at the windows. Outside in the garden, you will find a swimming pool, table-tennis equipment, swings and a woodfire oven.
Terms and conditions
The house can be rented on a weekly basis, from Satuday to Saturday. Check-in time: 17.00; check-out time: 09:00.
Weekly rates range from 2,500€ (from 2 to 15 July and after 20 August) to 3,000 (between 16 July and 19 August).
These rates do not include the following additional charges:
– Final cleaning: 150€
– Bed linen and towels: 10€ per person (optional)
– Electricity: meters will be read upon arrival and departure and use will be charged at 0,70€/unit (pool and outside lighting costs will not be charged)
Upon arrival, a full tank of water will be provided, which covers the needs of 10 people over a two-week period. In case of exceptional water consumption, the tank can be refilled at a cost of 110€.
