Dharmadas Youtube Channel

Welcome to my Vlog!

The next year I will be traveling across Europe, India and the US and I will take you with me and I will show you what I do to help farm animals, how other people treat farm animals and about my life.

Video 11, Shocking life on a dairy farm in Pune, India

I visited a dairy farm in Pune together with a friend from Pune. It was horrible to see what the animals have to bear for humans consumption of milk.

Just to make it clear: I have nothing against India or Indians. My own husband is from India. I have only a problem with animal exploitation no matter where it is. Life is not better for cows in the west, like Europe or the USA. Dairy calves also get separated after birth, then put in veal creates and slaughtered. Adult cows never again see their calves and have a horrible life.

All people on this planet must go vegan.

I am showing a beautiful view of the Hollywood sign from a mountain. I show you our lush garden with fruits and vegetables, even if it is January. I show you a very friends squirrel who lives in our garden. He waits in front of our door when he is hungry. And then I show you the beach in Santa Monica.

I interviewed three friends at the animal sanctuary Kindred Spirits Care Farm in Los Angeles who rescued a chicken from a slaughterhouse. The three of them were part of the Los Angeles chicken slaughterhouse vigil of the Save Movement. This is an exceptional case where activists were able to rescue a chicken and bring her to a sanctuary.

In my life I have moved many times from one place to another place. You pack your things in boxes, bring them in a truck to another place and unpack them. That hasn’t been a problem for me. But this time it is different and so much more challenging on many levels.

For 4 years I have been in a long distance relationship with a man living in Los Angeles. I decided to move to him and give up my job. I used to work as an employed graphic designer in the marketing department. After 10 years I was not happy with my job anymore and I felt that I have so much more to give then I was expected to do.
