Looks like leather but it comes from a tree
Crafting with cork is a wonderful childhood memory for Natália and Vítor, the couple behind Corkor.
Driven by their wish to create better vegan accessories, they decided to bring cork to the grown-up world.
Growing up surrounded by cork oak trees, Natália and Vítor learned from a tender age to love and respect them.
Later in life, they wondered, why isn’t Cork more used in Vegan Fashion?
Because cork is a premium natural material — and we design exclusively from it — our products are 100% animal free and bear the PETA-approved vegan certification. They look, feel and even behave like leather. Minus the cruelty.
All our cork leather is certified. This accreditation ensures the protection and adequate harvesting of the cork oak forest, our lifeblood. Our cork is obtained by removing the outer bark of the tree, without cutting or harming it. As the bark replenishes, cork can be harvested again and again.
Owning our workshop and overseeing its entire process is our way to guarantee top quality. From design to shipping products to your door, we do it all. This means we’ll continue to improve our process to bring you ever better vegan wallets and bags.
A handful of local Portuguese artisans produce perfectly finished pieces in our workshop. Traditional craftsmanship combines with small batches, to ensure you get premium quality, without the premium price.
Cork fabric is the natural and sustainable vegetable leather you’ve been looking for:
