Fruit based permaculture vegan eco village community in Ecuador
Started in 2016 with the first property and expended up to 7 independent properties of over 150 hectares to form an eco-village that is transparently co-directed by its members/owners, and accessible to all who share our vision. We have the following ways of joining/visiting us: volunteering, renting a room or cabin, and buying land.
There are currently over 40 owners as part of the group land buy (and over 40+ lots are still for sale! see lots for sale) of them, there are over 10 newly developed houses and 3 community area houses that have been renovated or rebuilt since purchasing the land – all of which include running water from various natural stream sources (some private lots use rainwater catchment), off grid solar power (FH1 community house is the only property on the grid), currently we have 5 fiber optic (~80Mbps) connections hooked up at the community areas and private lots along the river and upper FH2 lots, while the rest (FH3 and others) have either a line of sight highspeed connection (~8Mbps) or starlink (~80Mbps+)
We are located about 45 minute drive (or 45 minute boat ride) south of our “sister community,” Terra Frutis (which formed about 1.5 years before us, so they have a bit more development but less overall owners at this time).
