We’re Georganics. We make safe, effective oral care products that are good for people and for the planet.
We make it easier for you to live more sustainably. We do this by developing safe, effective and more sustainable everyday oral care products that aren’t just good for you, they’re good for the planet. We work with nature, using effective ingredients that come from pure, natural, organic sources. But we also acknowledge the world that we’re in, and that’s why we’re also committed to using our business as a force for good.
At the beginning our CEO Alex was working hard at his city job when he had that lightbulb moment, that moment we all get when we realise that things have got to change. Alex had been struggling with poor oral health, despite doing everything “right” – using high-fluoride toothpaste and nuclear mouthwashes to try to reduce his unexplained cavities. He decided to change his diet and change to more natural health and hygiene products. Natural soaps, deodorants and moisturisers (Alex loves his skin) weren’t a problem to find, but toothpaste? Nope. So, being a bit of a stubborn type, Alex left his job to make his own. Georganics was born and has grown from a tiny stall at a farmer’s market to one of Europe’s most trusted brands of genuinely natural oral healthcare.
We’re excited about our success, but we don’t spend all day high-fiving each other (except Fridays). We’re continually looking for ways to improve what we do, to grow sustainably and to make sure that each year we make a bigger and better positive difference to the world we all live in. We’re active promoters of the Zero-to-Landfill scheme and are excited to give a chunk of our profits to great causes. And this is just the beginning.
Natural-We believe in healthy ingredients for healthy mouths,so we use ingredients from natural and organic sources for our products. You’ll never find parabens, SLS or Triclosan in anything we make.
sustainable- We only have one planet, so we only have one plan, to be sustainable. We lovingly handcraft our products in small batches from locally sourced ingredients, where possible. Our packaging is sustainably-sourced, plastic-free, and designed to be 100% biodegradable or recyclable. All our products are cruelty-free.
Conscientious- Every buisness makes an impact. Westrive to make sure that ours is always positive. This is why we are commited to fair trade, fair employment and environmental protection. Every day, we try to be better than the day before.
We love our packaging but not just because it looks great. It’s also plastic-free, biodegradable or recyclable. Nothing ever goes to landfill.
When you open your Georganics order, you’ll notice something a little different. All of our products are packaged in fully biodegradable Kraft paper cartons. Even the print is made from vegetable ink. And we never use bubble wrap or polystyrene. To protect your order, we shred the cardboard packaging that we receive from our suppliers.
Our eco-packaging is made not to last but our containers are quite the opposite! The glass and aluminium jars can be refilled with our refill packs, re-purposed any way you like (try as tiny plant pots or food storage) or recycled. Glass and aluminium can be recycled indefinitely without losing quality, meaning a recycled toothpaste jar could make its way back to us at some point!
We are recycling our products with TerraCycle via their zero waste box solution to help recycle the components in our Sonic Toothbrush and Beechwood toothbrush heads that local centres cannot. They are separated into fibres such as wood and coated paper, plastics and other materials. The resulting fibres are then hydropulped to separate out coatings. These fibres are then recycled into new paper products, or composted if recycling is not possible. The resulting plastics can then be recycled into plastic polymers. Flexible and rigid plastics can eventually be moulded into various recycled plastic products
Our Zero To Landfill scheme allows our UK customers to send back used Georganics Beechwood and Sonic Toothbrush heads via free-post
1 Collect- Once used, save the brush heads. Snap them from the handle if you use our Beechwood Toothbrush, or simply remove the head if you use our Sonic Toothbrush.
2 Pack- Pack at least 4 heads into a paper envelope.
3 Send- Mail the envelope to ‘Free-post Georganics’, we’ll collect all the heads and send them to our partner recycling centre.
