Face to face and online counselling & psychotherapy for individuals and couples
Hello
I’m Sally Moore, a qualified, experienced, NCS accredited Counsellor offering counselling, trauma-focused therapy , EMDR, and Mental Health First Aid Instructor. I have an enhanced DBS check which I renew each year. I am also in psychotherapy training, working towards accreditation with United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapists (UKCP).
I use concepts and skills from the different approaches of Transactional Analysis (TA) and integrate other models that I have trained in, according to what clients want. TA is a theory of personality developement, a way of understanding unuseful patterns that keep us stuck, how we are in relationships, and our communication with others. In addition, I believe that we all have the resources within us to heal and move forward, and the relationship between client and therapist is most important in facilitating this to happen.
I have always enjoyed working with people, and so becoming a Counsellor felt like a natural step for me. I have over 15 years’ experience of working with young people and professionals in further education and specialist colleges, and a background in welfare work and careers coaching.
In addition to my counselling work, I taught Level 3 Certificate in Counselling at a local college. I am also approved by Mental Health First Aid England to deliver the full programme of Adult Mental Health courses nationally.
I absolutely love my job. Supporting people through difficult times and personal growth is a real privilege.
Currently in advanced psychotherapy training.
This is my therapy room, which is based near Sheffield, S26, near junction 31 of the M1. There is onsite parking available and my room is on the ground floor of the building.
