Unity Farm Sanctuary

is a 501(c)(3) farm animal sanctuary. The mission of Unity Farm Sanctuary is to provide a safe and loving lifelong home for farm animals, to offer the public unique educational programs, and to promote a culture of kindness and connection.

Founders Dr. John Halamka and Kathy Halamka created Unity Farm Sanctuary in late 2016.  Residents here include alpaca, horses, ponies, miniature horses, sheep, cows, goats, pigs and a vast array of feathered friends. We network with the community and other organizations to help as many farm animals as possible find loving lifelong homes. By working together with the community on topics such as farm animal care, veganism, sustainable organic farming practices, the power of kindness, and volunteerism,  we hope to extend our impact for positive change for animals and people alike.

To further this end, we host Sanctuary Tours, educational workshops, wellness and creativity retreats, and are particularly proud of a variety of internship and volunteer opportunities for adults, and students as young as 10 accompanied by a parent. Diverse group visits from the surrounding communities such as The Head Start program of Southborough, The Center memory unit in Medfield, Scouts, The Life Experience School in Millis, Sherborn Council on Aging, Beaver Country Day School and so many others are a sample of the daily possibilities at the Sanctuary. The Sanctuary is located minutes away from the Mass Pike in Natick, yet is worlds away from urban life in bucolic  wooded Sherborn MA. Visitors are encouraged to walk the trails here that connect with the Bay Circuit Trail and are open in daylight hours.

Our goal is to make a difference in the lives of animals, people and the world around us.
