Our mission is to produce household cleaning and laundry products that are the most sustainable and ethical that you can buy and we’re well on our way!

Our Story

A passion for an organic lifestyle and a love of fragrance meant that Peter and Christina took action and Greenscents was born!

In 2017, research carried out by Ethical Consumer confirmed that Greenscents was the most ethical brand available in the UK for laundry liquid, washing up liquid and multi-surface sprays – we were delighted! Since 2011, the unique Greenscents range has grown hugely and now supplies some of the best retailers in the UK. Greenscents is sold in Europe, Scandinavia, South East Asia and the Middle East. Everything is made in our workshops in Dulverton, Somerset by our small and experienced team.

The Nonscents range has been created for those with allergies to essential oils and people with sensitive skin. Every product we make at Greenscents is accredited by Allergy UK but the Nonscents range is ideal for allergy sufferers, or those who want to avoid fragrance.

If you live with multiple chemical sensitivity or skin allergies such as contact dermatitis or atopic allergies including hay fever, asthma and eczema, then we recommend you use the Nonscents range. Our free-from laundry and household products are highly effective and are full of low-allergen organic ingredients that will not worsen allergy symptoms. The Nonscents range is essential if you have long term health problems such as bronchial troubles, cancer or autoimmune conditions.

If there are allergies in the family or you want to protect your little ones from developing allergies in the future, the Nonscents range is for you too! Our fragrance-free products are ideal if you have pets – especially small animals, puppies and kittens who may be affected by fragrance and the chemicals found in most conventional cleaning products.

Our Nonscents range is the perfect organic baby laundry detergent. It is simply fragrance free and helps to ensure that eczema, asthma and skin allergies are avoided and symptoms are not aggravated. All the ingredients in Greenscents products are screened for allergens and the entire range is certified by Allergy UK as ‘allergy friendly’. Certification with The Soil Association means that ingredients come from an approved list which is based on organic and natural ingredients and minimises toxins.

Refillable household products now with new ‘Return & Refill’ options

With Greenscents refillable household products you can create your own refill station at home lowering your carbon footprint and saving money too!

Return & reuse don’t recycle!

We know that reuse is a more environmentally friendly option than recycling so Greenscents has introduced a return and reuse system for our 5 & 20 litre containers. We use this circular system already with our zero waste retailers and it has worked so well we want to extend this opportunity to all our customers.

Some of our customers like to reuse our sturdy Greenscents containers at home for other zero waste options but when you have too many containers just send them back to us!

Sustainable and Recyclable Boxes

All Greenscents boxes are made from sustainable cardboard and can be recycled easily. When you receive your box of Greenscents products you will often see loose filler which is used to protect the products. Our filler is made from renewable sources, is 100% biodegradable and fully compostable. Alternatively, we may use shredded cardboard which can be recycled in the usual way. Our packaging tape is made from sustainable paper and is 100% recyclable.

We are committed to refillable household products in sustainable packaging which respect the Earth’s resources. We are continually searching for new approaches to plastic-free packaging and you may see different versions of our bottles and boxes which are on trial.
