Community Description

We’re a small group of activists who formed a vegan community with the purpose of looking after each other and working on advocacy projects as a team. We have a large multigenerational home in the Finger Lakes area of NY. The handicapped accessible home with a lift contains 2 private apartments plus 3 more bedrooms and 2 more baths. It is located one block from downtown, and walking distance to library, farmers mkt, Humane Society, trails, restaurants etc. When the home is fully occupied, the expansion plan is to acquire other homes or rentals in the same area.

The group plans to share pet care, gardening, cooking and more. There is a large area that could be used for a home based business. One bedroom/bath will be reserved for visitors.

Montour Falls is a small historic town next to Watkins Glen and 10 minutes from Farm Sanctuary NY shelter. Ithaca is 30 minutes away.

The residence is non-smoking, vegan and companion-animal friendly. No down, wool, leather, silk or other animal products exist in out home.

The home was acquired through the excellent professional services of a vegan realtor, Diane Cooper, of Warren Real Estate in Watkins Glen.

The group has access to a Florida waterfront condo for winter getaways.
