Our beautiful, peaceful, sunny garden full of bird-song, awaits you to celebrate birthdays, smaller weddings, gatherings and events. Here you are as if in the countryside, where the garden is richly covered with various trees and plants, forming an oasis to be valued and enjoyed.

Children (but not only!) can swing, turn in the trees, run around and play in the sandbox.

Companies can organize a creative and playful seminar or a nice gathering outdoors.

We also offer catering service (raw cakes, salads, snacks, organic cafe etc.).

Accommodation Marta Guesthouse awaits guests, who appreciate authentic, cosy atmosphere while staying in the capital of Estonia, close to Old Town.

We can proudly say, that we are the first “Vegan Guesthouse” in Estonia, Tallinn. It means, our furniture, interior and outdoor-design, toiletries and other decisions made, consider animal welfare (no feather pillows, no leather furniture etc).

Our cafe is at the moment open for pre-booked events. Marta cafe organizes catering for booked events in the garden: fresh plant-based food, prepared when possible from organic ingredients only. Healthy and tasty vegan food is suitable for all guests: our speciality is to offer organic vegan food, whole-grain bread and pastries, most also gluten-free.

Marta house and garden is meant for people living a plant-based lifestyle, but of cource everyone is welcome to come and stay with us!

Traditional wooden house is situated in a quiet residential area and provides accommodation with personality and uniqueness.

Our goal is to preserve this little house with character, to share the unique feeling the house has to offer with our beloved guests!

1901 built family run guesthouse is renovated with ecological, natural materials: reed, clay, traditional colors. Our aim is to preserve the nature and the health of guests – every material used is tested to be safe and of natural origin.

Our goal is to preserve an old traditional Estonian wooden building. You can never compare us with other typical accommodations: here you experience the “stepping back from everyday hustle, stepping back to simplicity”, as if travelling back in time..

PHILOSOPHY

Marta Guesthouse has found a home in a traditional wooden building, which has been built in 1901 (architekt Konstantin Wilcken).

Our goal is to save the old house, preserve its atmosphere and share the experience with our guests.
We are until now constantly improving and I hope dreams and ideas never end. Soon there will be a small sauna for our beloved guests, in the small and beautiful garden with apple-trees..

The philosophy of the Guesthouse is to provide a place, where the Guest could feel the spirit of an old,
with Love restored wooden house.

The aim is not to “over-renovate” the house, but keep the special feeling..

Gösta Gierow writes in his book “Wooden houses of Tallinn”: “In the year 2000 I came for the first time and I have since then returned with regular intervals. My aim has been to document in drawings some of this special architecture. The old houses disappear one by one, namely, and I am probably doing this in the last minute… Because in these quarters there is a lot of construction going on!

There is tearing down and cleaning up, also restoration, one has to admit, but above all, there is new construction! Which are the principles that guide the demolition and preservation? Is there time, a will in an expanding phase to preserve historical and cultural values that do not immediately allow for an exchange into economic profitability?”

NB! NEW! We are happy to announce, that we are the very first “Vegan Guesthouse” in Tallinn, in Estonia! It means not only, that in our Cafe (which will be opened in summer) we start to serve healthy plant-based dishes, but also that in every little detail we will contribute to the idea to reduce any kind of suffering of animals. No feather pillows, no leather furniture etc.

Feeling HAPPY to announce the opening of “Marta Vegan Cafe” again!

Healthy plant-based food form local and fresh ingredients. Vegan food is delicious and healthy for everyone! Our goal is to use organic ingredients, so we are proud to be the first “Vegan guesthouse” in Estonia, which offers healthy plant-based food from organic ingredients.

Many our dishes are also gluten-free and we use whole-grain flour to make pastries, pasta and fresh bread.
