Vegan Guest house in Spain

This paradise on earth is a quiet, natural and beautiful place located in a lush, green valley near the authentic Andalusian town of Coín in the province of Málaga.

Your vegan holidays away from the hustle and bustle and in the middle of everything

Here you can hear birds singing and the refreshing sound of the ever flowing stream Río Pereilas, our namesake.

Relax by our pool, in the hammocks, or in one of our cosy rooms and enjoy our delicious home-made vegan food.

The Finca

The Finca evening

Finca Pereila is a genuine Andalusian country house with 2 spacious guestrooms and a ‘casita’, a little garden house, all with their private bathroom en-suite, and the casita has got a small terrace. The finca is embedded in a big terrain of about 2000 m2 with terraces and a large refreshing pool of 8 x 5 meters and a bar with outside kitchen for guests.

We’re is situated in a historical and picturesque part of Coín, in a valley with orange, lemon, and avocado trees, next to the ever-flowing stream Río Pereilas and beneath the Ermita Nuestra Señora de Fuensanta. Away from the crowds it’s a great escape from the hectic everyday life.

In the surrounding areas you find many beautiful hiking paths and cycle routes. We are close to many highlights and amenities, but when you are in our little slice of paradise you’re far away from all the hustle & bustle and surrounded by nature. From the finca you can walk to the historical centre of Coín in just 30 minutes, many beaches at the Costa del Sol and iconic Marbella are at only 30 minutes driving distance, the cultural hub Málaga and Málaga Airport in 40 minutes, the popular walk ‘Caminito del Rey’ at about 45 minutes, and Ronda at about 1 hour drive away.

Our rooms

Agua 1

We can accommodate 6 people, 2 persons in each room. Next to our big Yoga/Art Studio, with its own entrance, you find our two spacious rooms ‘Agua’ and ‘Tierra’ with their own en-suite bathrooms. Outside, in front of the house, you will find a little cute and cosy wooden house, ‘Casita Botánica’ with a small veranda, its own entrance, and en-suite bathroom.

Our guests are free to use our big communal space (with yoga/art studio) where we provide a fridge (with one compartment for each room and space in the freezer). We also always provide a big bottle with drinking water from the source next to the Ermita and a filter to filter this water before drinking it. Each room has got a glass bottle to refill.

Beddings

All rooms come with fitting sheets, duvet cover, duvet (winter), pillowcases, extra cushions or covers available. If guests stay longer than 1 week we’ll clean the room after a week and provide clean beddings and towels (included in the price).

Why veganism and why a Vegan B&B?

Vegan Ramen

5 reasons to live vegan and to come to a vegan holiday accommodation:

  • Animal rights and animal welfare
  • All living beings need not suffer needlessly for our pleasure and enjoyment. In our current society it is perfectly possible to replace animal products with alternatives without losing our standard of living.
  • Climate- On the current scale, livestock farming and meat and dairy production is unsustainable for our planet.
  • Health- Scientific research shows that vegans with a varied diet are less likely to suffer from cardiovascular disease and certain cancers than meat eaters.
  • World food supply- It is much more efficient to use agricultural land to produce crops for human consumption than to grow crops for animal consumption.

Why choose veganism over vegetarianism

Although vegetarianism strives for less animal suffering, vegetarians often overlook the fact that the egg and dairy industry also causes animal suffering.

The Vegan Society: “It’s time to ask ourselves: if it is now possible to live a life that involves delicious food and drink, delivers better health, leaves a smaller carbon footprint and avoids killing other creatures – then why don’t we?”

You are free to prepare your own meals in our communal outside kitchen, plus there is a number of restaurants in the vicinity of the finca that serve vegan options and very good vegan restaurants on the coast and in Málaga. Ask us for recommendations!

For guests we have a large fridge with 3 freezer compartments and in the outdoor kitchen you can find all the things to cook and eat in the finca, we have several vegan cookbooks and folders with vegan recipes to inspire guests and we give advice where to buy your products can find.

Everyone is welcome, also non-vegans, but we ask everyone to please respect our vegan lifestyle. That means: please do not bring any animal products to the finca and do not bring, prepare or consume any animal products on our property.

Do you have any questions or doubts about this, please don’t hesitate contacting us.

Our fellow residents

Mildred

At Finca Pereila we don’t only love cats and dogs but all animals. That is why we also have two (rescue) pigs George and Mildred.

In 2020 we came to live in the finca with the cat Phoebe, that was already an older lady of 12,5 years. Birgit had her since she was a kitten and she travelled with her to Spain. She loved lying in the sun and enjoyed our little paradise, but sadly she died beginning 2023.

Since 2021 George and Mildred live with us. They are brother and sister and as soon the group that rescued their mother found out that she was pregnant they were looking for families to adopt the babies. George and Mildred where cute little piglets when they came to live at the finca. Now they’re fully grown they have their own pig sty with stable for the cold and wet winter days and a mud pool to cool down in summer. They like to eat and love almost all rests from the kitchen, like fruit peels. Did you know that pigs are very sensitive, intelligent and clean animals?

Dog Lilly came to live in the finca by herself since half a year. We found her former owners, but they were happy when we wanted to adopt her. She’s very sweet, social and playful. She loves to go for walks and she can play with the ball the whole day long. She loves all guests and (almost) all guests love her.
