Vegan Guesthouse in Italy

Calderone can be found in the pittoresque village of Ubaga, surrounded by nature at 480 meters over sea level in the ligurian inland. The house is an old building of XVI century, within which there are the three rooms reserved for the guests. The rooms are provided with private bathroom, heating, tv set and wifi connection, fridge, hairdryer, kettle and filter coffee maker. One of the rooms also has a private, fully equipped kitchenette.

The furnishings are particularly well-finished with shabby-chic style arisen from the recovery of old furniture and accessories. At the disposal of the guests, two wide terraces of the house constitute the outfitted solarium, with shower, and the roof garden for the breakfast.

We use exclusively organic products for our breakfast, that can be either sweet or salty depending on guests’ preference; a large selection of vegan and gluten-free products are available.

Our guests are welcome to the quiet and peace of the house library, where over a thousand works of fiction or essays can be found. There is also an internet access point. Dogs, cats and other pets are welcome at Il Calderone.

About Us

We made the choice to live and work surrounded by nature, and we try our best to respect the environment and animals. We tend to our plants and our veggie garden following organic methods; we buy and offer organic and cruelty-free products only. Our choice is rooted in both ethical and healthy considerations: we believe that the daily choices individuals make can and do impact everyone’s quality of life. In the house library, to which guests have full access, a good portion of the volumes are dedicated to health and environment and their relation to philosophy and spirituality.
