Loving Hut Inn is a vegan, non-smoking inn located on Lake Klopein — Europe’s warmest for bathing — in the heart of Carinthia, Austria.With Austria’s first vegan inn we have expanded upon the unique concept of the Loving Hut vegan chain of restaurants. Our inn has been lovingly and attentively prepared for your stay, a contemporary example of the practical application of the environmental vegan lifestyle in areas extending beyond just nutrition.

Loving Hut was created with the vision that all beings may live in peace, love and harmony with each other and the earth.

Our inn, a smoke-free establishment, is located in Carinthia, Austria’s southernmost state. It is situated on Lake Klopein, which is 1.8 kilometers long and 800 meters wide, with a depth of 48 meters. It’s temperature of 28°C makes it one of Europe’s warmest lakes for swimming. The area also has beautiful scenery, making it one of the most popular holiday destinations in Europe.

Near our inn you can visit a variety of attractions or simply relax in the tranquil atmosphere. Inside the inn there are many fine, hand-painted pictures, as well as exquisite ornamental lighting. The guest rooms are simple yet elegant in their decor.

Our restaurant features a lovely, charming garden. Every morning the restaurant provides inn guests with a healthy, vegan buffet breakfast. Enjoy a relaxing breakfast time in the beautiful garden surroundings.

Our restaurant also provides lunch and dinner. All dishes in the restaurant are purely plant-based (vegan) and free of genetically modified substances (GE free). They are lovingly prepared and served in a welcoming, friendly and tranquil atmosphere. With environmental harmony in mind, we use mostly local, organic and fair-trade products. We do not serve alcohol, offering instead a wide range of delicious beverages. As throughout the entire inn, the restaurant has a smoke-free policy.

Loving Hut is leading the way in promoting an alternative, sustainable lifestyle on our planet. Loving Hut…a name that stands for love, peace, compassion, ecology and healthy eating!

As an example, in our decor, we have been careful to use products of non-animal origin. Cleaning products and daily items such as soaps and shampoos are free from all animal ingredients and, of course, are not tested on animals. Whenever possible, we use products containing natural and environmentally friendly ingredients.

A vegan breakfast buffet rounds out our service so our guests, in good conscience, can enjoy their vacation in a relaxing and healthy environment. Our aim is to provide an example of an alternative that is advantageous to one’s health, to our animal friends and to the environment while greatly increasing our quality of life through small lifestyle changes.

We are a 100% vegan guesthouse. As a member of the Loving Hut Int franchise, we have clear guidelines and regulations that we are required to follow. Also, many vegans travel from a great distance to enjoy a worry-free vegan and healthy vacation, and we wish to ensure a pleasant and peaceful stay for all. Therefore we would kindly ask that you read and take into consideration the following requirements when making a booking with us:

♥ Breakfast and all food and drinks in the restaurant are of purely plant-based origin; all furnishings in the guesthouse and restaurant are guaranteed to be products without animal-derived origin.

♥ To all to ensure a pleasant and peaceful stay, the bringing and / or the consumption of non-vegetarian products is not permitted, i.e. no products with meat, fish, eggs, milk or other ingredients of animal-derived source. This also applies to baby and pet food! We offer a selection of vegan baby and pet food, free of charge if necessary. For example, when visiting the restaurant with your dog, we will provide dry dog food free of charge.

♥ Smoking is not allowed throughout the entire property. This includes the restaurant, the guesthouse, and the balconies of the guest rooms.

♥ Bringing and / or the use of alcohol and other drugs is also prohibited.

Our guestrooms are pleasantly and comfortably furnished for you. And we have been careful to use only materials that are free of animal origin. All rooms are furnished with their own balcony, shower, WC and hair dryer, Every room is also equipped with a LCD television set, telephone, free wireless internet and electric kettle.

Beach

Our valued guests can enjoy the lovely private beach featuring a sunbathing area and dock, just in front of the Loving Hut Inn. A quiet, peaceful location with shade trees and a hedge provides beachgoers with a lovely atmosphere to fully enjoy their holiday on the lake. Umbrellas, recliners, changing facilities and restrooms as well as a swing set for children are all available at no charge. Thanks to Lake Klopeiner’s excellent water quality, beautiful water lilies – a protected plant species – grow near the shore.

Thermal springs from the lake’s floor maintain the lake’s temperature at up to 28 °C in summer, making Lake Klopein the warmest lake in Austria!
