In the ancient historical center, in the Etruscan Street “della Porta all’Arco” is based our particular Albergo Diffuso.

Albergo Diffuso Volterra offers its guests an exclusive combination of characteristic apartments and homes, one central reception, one villa bed & breakfast, one restaurant with 100% plant based seasonal food and many sustainable experiences in the area.

The Hall stands up an archaeological site, in this renovated area with a transparent crystal floor, guests can see an Etruscan city wall with a part of the main Etruscan road of the city, an Etruscan well, part of a Roman road and part of the medieval home.

Elegant building located a few minutes walk from the historic center of Volterra. It consists of ten double bedrooms arranged over three floors, all air-conditioned, a bar room, a breakfast room, common areas, private parking and external gardens.

Villa Panorama – Volterra –

Enchanting Villetta, with pool, for 2 to 4 people

Villa Panorama is located in Borgo Volpaie, a natural place located a few kilometers from Volterra. It consists of a living room, a complete kitchen, two double bedrooms, three bathrooms, a beautiful panoramic terrace and swimming pool.

Villa Terminella – Volterra –

Special Villa, with infinity pool, up to 14 people

Exclusive and reserved, surrounded by nature, a few minutes from the center of Volterra. The Villa has 5 bedrooms plus 2 in the out-garden building, all with private bathrooms, living rooms, kitchen room, outdoor terraces and a lovely infinity pool.

Villa Vicinato – Garfagnana –

Suggestive mountain Villa, with pool, up to 8 people

Villa Vicinato is an exclusive building in the Garfagnana mountains. It consists of a spacious kitchen, a music room, a sitting room, four double bedrooms, two bathrooms, large terrace and gardens and a private swimming pool.

Alberi Flat Volterra –

Comfortable apartment, on the ground floor, up to 4 people

Alberi is a pleasant and comfortable apartment in the ancient Via della Porta all’Arco, a few meters from our reception and our restaurant. It is composed of an entrance hall, a complete kitchen, a bathroom, and two double bedrooms.

Borgo Nuovo Volterra –

Spacious and central home, up to 7 people

Borgo Nuovo is a spacious apartment, very bright and quiet. Restored in 2019, it consists of a large living room, a full kitchen, two double bedrooms, a bedroom with two single beds and two large bathrooms.

Casa Roma Garfagnana –

Characteristic mountain home, up to 7 people

Casa Roma is a pleasant residence, at the top of the Garfagnana mountains, in the village of Vergemoli. It consists of an entrance hall, a living room, a kitchen with terrace, three double bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Guarnacci Apartment Volterra –

Comfortable and spacious apartment, up to 6 people

Guarnacci is a pleasant apartment, renovated in January 2023. Central and spacious, on the first floor, it consists of a large living room, an open kitchen, two double bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Our Bistro

As more as possible organic, with local products, 100% Plant Based

Albergo Diffuso Volterra offers its guests a natural and vegetable bistro restaurant. Our kitchen is a journey to rediscover taste and our vision of food. The products are selected as much as possible from nearby organic and biodynamic farms, the restaurant is 100% plant based.

Food by weight. A “weight-based food” lunch with organic, seasonal and plant based food. We are in Volterra, in Tuscany, at the “Life Bistrot” restaurant of Albergo Diffuso Volterra.

Our “Life Bistrot” restaurant offers an “a la carte” menu, 100% vegan, with creative, tasty recipes and seasonal products.

Outside it is possible to eat on 5 terraces arranged on several levels along the Etruscan Via della Porta all’Arco. Inside the main room stands on an archaeological site, with the floor entirely in transparent glass. Within this environment, guests can see perfectly illuminated Etruscan, Roman and medieval finds under their feet. The recipes are accompanied by the “della Casa” wine list with organic and vegan wines, and by the “Agarthi” cellar, with old vintages, particular formats and important labels. Tasting menu solutions are available.

Food by weight is a formula with many advantages. Allows guests more control over their time. Total autonomy in decisions and a clear management of food.

Recipes offered are healthy, the ingredients fresh, quality. Much attention is paid to the concepts of food intolerance. Gluten free, lactose free, and on the origin of the products, as selected as possible in the organic farms in the area.

The restaurant is designed to allow customers to be as independent as possible. The staff is always present, and there is always someone around to ask if you are in difficulty.

Our cuisine is 100% vegetable, many recipes are gluten-free.
