WHO WE ARE
We, Helen & Craig, are originally from Australia and have been living a plant based lifestyle for over 29 years. We first visited Japan in 2007 and fell in love with the country, and Kyoto in particular.
We are now at a stage in our lives where we have decided we want to share our experience of travelling in Japan, passion for good food and providing good service.
As to the name of our facility:
* a minshuku is a Japanese B&B; and
* sanbiki neko translates as three cats. Our three cats came with us from Australia.
We understand it can be difficult travelling in Japan if you are vegan or vegetarian. We can help you by:
* providing a nutritious and tasty fully cooked vegan breakfast; and
* identifying vegan and vegan friendly restaurants which are accessible within your daily itineraries.
The breakfasts are based around the seasons and seasonal produce. We know from our own experience that a tasty breakfast with a good protein base is essential to set you up for a day of sightseeing.
In terms of sightseeing, we have a good knowledge of Kyoto and can help you create an itinerary covering your specific interests, as necessary.
There are also many tour guides and tours available in Kyoto, if you would prefer to have someone show you around.
