Cottage

Mas Olivella is a rural house that has been restored into a sustainable house with solar energy and heat.

Guests can start the morning in the upstairs yoga room, enjoy breakfast with a panoramic view of the mountains, and gather in the evenings around the fire in our great room. Wi-Fi available in the main house.

All double rooms with breakfast included cost €150 per night for two people. The price includes vegan breakfast with products from our garden and organic soap and toothpaste.

We have four lovely options available to guests:

The Blue Room is a guest favorite with a double bed, private bathroom, and views of the Red Mountains.

The Green Room is located upstairs with a double bed, private bathroom and views of the lush valley.

The Red Room is very private with two single beds and a private bathroom.

The Casita is located next to the main house. It has a private balcony, small fireplace, sofa, sink and a double bed, ideal for couples or close friends. There is also a ladder to enjoy stargazing on the roof.

La Cabaña Grande is a gem in Mas Olivella. This is a self-sustaining, delicate, private and comfortable House. Capacity for 5 people, a room with a double bed and another room with a folding bed and a loft bed. It has a bathroom, balcony and private fireplace.

Mas Olivella is situated in a natural sanctuary with 5 hectares of olive and almond trees and its own private biodynamic garden to explore.

Right outside our doors, natural beauty and adventure await. Mas Olivella is situated at the base of red mountains and blue skies. It is a 15 minute walk from Alforja.

It is surrounded by kilometers of magnificent hiking trails with which you can reach the churches, the hermitages of Sant Antoni and Puigcerver, or the nearby towns of Arboli and the magical Mussara. The region is ideal for adventurers with long walks, rock climbing, paragliding, mountain biking or kayaking.

The property is a 20-minute drive from the Catalan coast and beaches such as Cambrills and Miami. It is also located less than 30 minutes by car from the wine region of Catalonia, in Priorat, where you can visit the wineries or the magical town and lake of Siruana.

Agriculture

Agriculture is the heart of Mas Olivella.

Respect for the principles of biodynamic agriculture is what originally inspired our garden, but we are constantly learning new techniques and methods that we apply to our land. We follow the ‘Back to Eden’ organic gardening technique taught by Paul Gautschi and regenerative agriculture practices.

We are cultivating a large orchard, a greenhouse, a medical field, more than 100 fruit trees and an edible forest.

Our goal is to feed our community and families directly from the land and only consume what we produce from it.

Our food

we believe in the power of healthy, vegan foods grown with our own hands or those of our neighbors.

We believe in the healing and nourishing power of a plant-based diet.

Breakfast — made with local ingredients and from our garden — is included with every stay and is the most powerful start to your day.

It is a pleasure to share the best of organic, local and vegetable cuisine with each of our guests. Breakfast, which we prepare with ingredients as local as our own garden, is included in each stay and is the most powerful start to your day.

We offer:

A variety of toasts on wholemeal spelled bread from the Les Borges del Camp bakery. Options include tahini with avocado, peanut butter and jelly, or sprouts.

Creamy porridge with superfoods including Medjol dates, Maca powder, hemp seeds, nuts, and fruits like bananas, apples, and strawberries.

A selection of organic Yogi teas.

Lunch and dinner can be arranged prior to your stay.

Our kitchen is a sacred part of Mas Olivella but it is not open for guest use.
