Our Body Butter
Shea-Me® is packed with organic hydrating oils,velvety rich Shea body butter contains natural Vitamins A,E,F and fatty acids which aids the production of collagen production. Shea-me™ body butter contains healing properties and is made from 100% natural ingredients. It’s Ultra-rich texture will easily soak into the skin helping to protect, moisturise, soften and prevent dryness.
Shea-Me™ is indulgent and delivers a drench of greatness to the skin. Our body butter is suitable for most skin, including oily and dry. The butter can be used as a perfect lip balm, body moisturiser for cracked heels, dry elbows and knees. The body butter can furthermore be used as a good aftershave moisturiser.
Essentials
- Castor Oil – Is believed to be able to penetrate the body’s tissues bringing many health benefits including healing inflamed skin; reducing pigmentation, acne, fades blemishes and fight signs of ageing. Castor oil hydrates and softens the skin.
- Limeseed Oil – Unique emollient product contains natural waxes and rich fatty acids. This provides a secondary benefit of moisturisation to the skin that can enhance skin protection through improved barrier function. Limeseed oil is known to support tissue regeneration and conditions the skin.
- Grapeseed Oil – Naturally a source of omega 6 fatty acids, antioxidant vitamins C,E, beta carotene, oleic and alpha-linolenic acids (repair and sooth skin). Grape seed oil consists of approx. 46-74% linoleic acid, 14-44% oleic acid, 7-10% palmitic acid and 4-6% stearic acid.
- Tea Tree Oil – For cleaning and protecting the skin, it has a highly effective antiseptic and anti-fungal effect. In aromatherapy tea tree is described as having a purifying effect on the senses helping to maintain healthy breathing and a strong immune system.
- Vitamin E – Has regenerating ability and protects against environmental damage and signs of ageing. Also providing antioxidant defence which contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. It hydrates, nourishes and tones the complexion.
Ingredients and Preservatives
All of our ingredients are natural, organic, high performing and safe. Working closely with our suppliers is very important to us, so that we are able to provide you ingredients by reputable distributors and companies.
Animals
None of Shea-Me’s ingredients are derived directly from animals, meaning we would never do animal testing or accept ingredients that are. All of our products are suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
My Passion
Shea-Me grew from a personal need as it was difficult to find a skincare product that moisturised, hydrated and nourished my skin. Working within a prison environment one needed a natural formula that could last all day without my skin feeling dry and itchy.
Shea-Me is an award-winning skincare product and only use organic, vegan & cruelty-free ingredients. As a matter of fact, our butter is sourced from a woman’s co-operative in Wa, Northern Ghana. This enables the building of a better future for these women families and their communities.
In addition, we use a variety of plant based oils which have healing properties, naturally enriched with vitamins and fatty acids. Also exhibiting anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, antiviral and antioxidant properties and possess UV protection (SPF~6).
We offer an extensive range of natural skincare products in various scents (such as LAVENDER, LEMONGRASS and Rosemary) and a variety of packaging sizes. Our customers not only use our product as a moisturiser but also as an aftershave, lip balm, facial moisturiser, hand and body cream and also for dry and cracked heels.
All our products are handmade in small batches to maintain quality. Made in kent, the garden of england. We are BIG on recycling, reusing all our cardboard and plastic containers. Thus reducing what is send to landfill. Thank you for supporting my dream.
