MY STORY

The Beginning

Where do I start… First and foremost, I am a mother to four beautiful children who keep me very busy indeed and a wife. I found myself at home as a full-time mum after my fourth child was born in 2016. I couldn’t have contemplated going back into an environment that dictated the days and hours I worked with the added stress of organising childcare. I wanted to spend as much time with my babies as possible, so working for myself was appealing, if a little daunting.

Organic Skincare

I had a burning ambition to create and develop something I could call my own, a business that I could grow with real passion and enthusiasm around all the other things that I love in my life. I started to have a bit more time when my youngest two children started nursery. I found I could really dedicate my time, energy and effort to my concept for an effortlessly glamorous, cruelty free, natural and vegan skincare and contemporary living brand. It meant working a lot of very early mornings and late nights whilst the children were in bed, but my sleep deprivation paid off and my vision began to take shape.

My professional life has been varied and has included working within health and fitness, business and project management. Health and fitness have interested me as far back as I can remember. Understanding how things work, what ingredients are used, how these affect us and also impact our environment. Combining this passion for health, fitness and the environment, together with a love for beautiful skincare and exquisite homeware products, I began to research.

The marketplace seemed to be lacking accessible premium natural and vegan products that offered real style and sophistication, what I would call effortless natural glamour. The stylish skincare and contemporary living products, packed full of the skin goodness, I wanted to buy simply didn’t exist and that was the start, late one night in 2017 SOAK BOX England was born.

THE JOURNEY

You never know where life is going to take you next and the SOAK BOX England journey has been no different. It’s been exciting, interesting, sometimes exhausting and daunting. As working mother’s know, it can be really hard to find the right balance at times. I want to create something my children can be proud of, but I also want to be there for them now. Daisy my five year old says she wants to work for SOAK BOX England when she grows up, but that said, she also wants to be Beyonce. Along with her 14 year old sister, Esta-Rose, she certainly likes testing mummy’s products.

I still do a lot of late nights and early mornings, but that’s the benefit of running your own company, you set your own hours. I am an honest and open individual and I want my products to be transparent too in terms of both their ingredients and benefits. Of course, I’ve made a few mistakes along the way, but the positive mantra in our household has become, It’s a Learning Curve.

My husband and family, especially my mum, have been so supportive and positive in terms of what I am doing, this has allowed me to grow and develop SOAK BOX England which is fantastic.

WHAT’S NEXT?

Firstly, I want you to continue to enjoy our exquisite natural skincare and lifestyle products, be it our Secret Therapist Collection with its seaweed derived Collagen Retinol that reduces fine lines and gives suppleness and elasticity to your skin or our environmentally friendly 100% natural soy candles that fill your home with beautiful scents. As we move forward, our packaging will continue to be beautiful and made from recycled and recyclable material, minimising our impact on the environment. SOAK BOX England will be available in even more retailers in the near future which is extremely exciting and more exquisite natural skincare products will be added to the range soon.

I am extremely proud of the beautiful natural, vegan brand and products we have created and our customers enjoy. Though we seem to have come a long way in a very short period of time, I know SOAK BOX England really is at the start of its journey. Balancing family life and growing the business has been challenging at times, but I have learnt so much, I feel very fortunate that my dreams are becoming a reality.
