About Mio Skincare

Founded in London by 4 beauty experts, Mio is a very personal creation. Our skincare expertise gives us the know-how, but first and foremost we are 4 women who want to feel good in our skin. We selfishly create each product to solve the skincare issues that we want to overcome, using the very best ingredients at their highest potency to ensure that every product really works.

We believe that, whatever your shape, your age or your stage, if your skin looks FIT, toned, nourished, strong, touchable and glowing, you will feel gorgeous…and if you feel gorgeous, you will look gorgeous! So whatever your needs are, we believe we have the skin fitness solution for you. It is our Mio Mission to help women feel more confident in their skin by helping them achieve fit skin for life.

Mama Mio Pregnancy Skincare

Created in 2004 by four mamas, Mama Mio was one of the first dedicated pregnancy skincare brands. Our founders struggled to find effective pregnancy products, so they put their heads (and bumps) together and Mama Mio was born!

From our iconic, best-selling Tummy Rub Butter to our newest innovations, we’ve got our mamas covered from top-to-toe during their 9 month stre-e-tch. Whether you’re in your first trimester or have already met your little bundle of joy, our vegan, cruelty-free formulas will help support and protect your skin from bump to baby and beyond.

mio Feel-Good Skincare

10 years later mio skincare was created, a brand designed to boost your feel-great and give you strong, fit skin for life. We re-branded in Summer 2020 to make our formulations stronger than ever with highy-effective plant-based formulas and recyclable packaging for products that are both kind to your skin and our planet.

Our mission is to make you feel-good, look great and our products are suited to all lifestyles, every skin and every body. Our four new ranges are vegan-friendly, cruelty-free and supercharged with 100% natural fragrances and our NEW Feel-Good Complex to give you powerful results you can both see and feel; giving you the confidence to live your best body-loving life.

Our no nasties promise is your assurance that mio and mama mio are the cleanest, most effective products that we could make. We do not use parabens, petrolatum, mineral oil, artificial colourants, sodium laureth or lauryl sulphate, xenoestrogens, phthalates, PEGs. If you still want to dig a little deeper, you can find everything you need to know on our no nasties fact page!

Our brushes are produced using the finest materials to guard against friction burns often caused by synthetic fibres. Our body brush is made using boar bristles which are known for being gentle and preventing skin damage.

Many mio and mama mio products do not require a specific expiration date as they have a shelf life in excess of 30 months from the date they were produced, providing the product has not been opened. Where this is the case you will find a little symbol which looks like an open jar, as pictured below, together with a number and the letter M. This indicates that the product will retain its characteristics for X months after the product has been opened, where X is the number next to the jar.

All products are suitable for up to six months after they have been opened.

The parfum in mama and mio is made of natural essential oils. There are added man made non-perfuming compounds to help preserve the quality of the scent. Most of our mama mio products contain our special fragrance Gravida (this means pregnancy in Latin) which is a zingy burst of delicious citrus that reveals a woody radiant floral heart.

All mio formulations are suitable for use during pregnancy. Mio formulations have been reviewed by an independent safety assessor, for suitability of use during pregnancy and whilst lactating. If you have any lingering concerns or doubts, we recommend you seek advice from your GP/midwife.
