100% Natural, Waterless, Organic and Vegan Skincare

Clockface Beauty was born from love. The very first product was designed by a mother for her daughter, and this has carried through into how we treat our customers. Every business decision is based on what will benefit the customer and what the customer wants. From blending the formula, through to delivering your order, every step is considered, and completed with nothing but love.

Clockface Beauty is science led skincare that is transformative for your skin. Every product in the range is entirely waterless, meaning that each amber jar is filled only with nutrient rich ingredients that will leave your skin glowing.

Natural butters and oils are expertly blended to treat a number of skin concerns including acne, rosacea, dehydrated and oily skin. They’ll treat ageing skin and encourage skin cell regeneration, naturally.

The collection was designed as the ultimate luxurious treat. Sumptuous product that will enable you to Cleanse, Nourish and Hydrate your skin. Visit our Skin Clinic for more advice on which products are right for you.

Our principles are crucial to our business, and we’re incredibly proud that every single product in the Clockface Beauty range is vegan, cruelty-free, organic, 100% natural and entirely waterless. We want to always be open and honest with our customers, so every single product features entirely transparent labelling.

You’re quite simply at the heart of everything we do.

Transparent Labelling

We believe that you deserve to know what’s in your skincare. Read the back of your skincare products and you’ll so often see ingredients that you’ve never heard of before.

We want to lead the way with transparency in skincare. All labels have to include an INCI ingredients list, which is basically the scientific or Latin name of the ingredients. But for clarity, we’ve translated this list into their more common names.

Transparent labelling gives you the power to understand your skincare, and decide for yourself what you want or don’t want on your skin.

Vegan and Cruelty-Free

There is absolutely no reason why skincare is still being tested on animals, or that animals would suffer for us to obtain ingredients. Clockface Beauty has always been and will always be a vegan brand. We don’t test on animals, and none of our ingredients have ever been tested on animals.

Our entire range is also registered with the Vegan Society, and so you’ll see their logo on all of our labels too.

We also believe in the protection of our oceans and all that live beneath it, so in 2019 we partnered with the Marine Conservation Society. The Marine Conversation Society is the UK’s leading marine charity who work to ensure that our seas are healthy, pollution-free and protected. For every single order that you place with us, we make a donation to the charity.

“Making the products vegan and cruelty-free wasn’t really a decision. It was obvious. I would simply never have created something that could affect or hurt animals. Both ethically and sustainably, the products had to be cruelty-free.” – Karen Horsley.

Organic Skincare

Organic skincare means using no artificial chemicals or fragrances such as parabens or petroleum wax. The term organic is related to how the product is farmed or created, so with no pesticides, growth hormones or antibiotics. An organic ingredient is basically an ingredient that has been naturally grown.

We’re very proud that every single Clockface Beauty product is a minimum of 85% Organic, except when certain ingredients can’t be certified such as our Pink Himalayan Salt. This ingredient cannot be classed as truly organic as it’s a carbon-based compound. But, although salt can’t be classified as organic, it’s still ethically sourced and 100% natural.

“I hadn’t thought about the importance of being organic until we were doing our research and learned that 60% of your skincare absorbs into your bloodstream. I thought that was fascinating and terrifying all at the same time. It made me realise that what we put on our skin is just as important as what we consume, and we realised that Clockface Beauty has to be organic. We want every product to be nothing but good for you, so you never have to worry about side effects.” – Sarah Thomas

100% Natural Skincare

Your body absorbs 60% of your skincare into your bloodstream, so we were never going to create a skincare line that included artificial chemicals or synthetic ingredients. Aside from it not being good for your body, synthetic ingredients are simply not needed. We’ve carefully researched and sought out natural ingredients that can offer the same benefits that we’d usually rely on artificial chemicals for.

Our products contain natural alternatives to salicylic acid and retinol, so your skin can feel plump and fresh without a single artificial chemical. We can reduce scarring and fight wrinkles without the use of harmful acids.

The fact that every ingredient in our range  is 100% natural makes it suitable for sensitive skin too, and for pregnant ladies who don’t want any artificial chemicals on their skin.

“I’m a Specialist Scientist so I know why people choose to use chemicals and acids in their skincare, but I also know the possible side effects, so it was important to me that we remained an all-natural brand. I’m proud that we’ve been able to marry science and nature together perfectly to deliver powerful products that simply don’t need chemicals. When we sign off a product, we know it’s 100% natural, and that every single ingredient in that bottle will help your skin.” – Karen Horsley.

Waterless Skincare

Our rule on remaining waterless is a simple one. An average skincare product is 70% water. Check the back of a bottle and you’ll see “Aqua” listed as the top ingredient. Well, your skin is waterproof. So quite simply, it’s useless in your skincare. Water doesn’t absorb into your skin and it doesn’t hydrate you. It’s just diluting down the good ingredients.

That’s why we don’t include any water. Every single amber jar is full of only good ingredients that will benefit your skin. And because our products aren’t watered down, they’re incredibly potent, which means you can use less product each time.

Aside from delivering better skincare, going waterless also means that our products are more sustainable. Water is a valuable resource, and we don’t see any reason to waste it.

“It’s such an easy assumption to make that water will hydrate, but the molecules in water are simply too big to absorb into your skin. When I made the very first product which was actually for my daughter, I was obviously never going to dilute it down for her as this would impact the performance. And for that same reason, I would never do it to anyone else.” – Karen Horsley.
