Animal Sanctuary

Our Mission: Conservation, Preservation and Education

Welcome to the tale of Happy Tales Animal Sanctuary!

We rescue all types of animals, focusing mostly on wildlife, exotics, and farm animals. We feel it’s an honor to look into the lives and hearts of the amazing creatures we share this earth with. In addition, we have widened our efforts and provide rehabilitation services to humans, as well!

Please see our About page to learn more about us and how you can help! We run on donations and are immensely grateful for any donation, big or small, that we receive, as any amount makes a difference. Happy Tales Animal Sanctuary is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. All donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.

You can also come visit our sanctuary! Private tours are available by appointment. Meet, interact, and learn about the animals… it’s a memorable life experience!

About the Sanctuary

Happy Tales Animal Sanctuary is a unique organization.
We rescue all types of animals, focusing mostly on wildlife, exotics, and farm animals. We rehabilitate them using natural methods such as bodywork and give them a permanent, loving home. When appropriate, we release native wildlife back into the wild. Happy Tales Animal Sanctuary is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization run entirely on donations from the public. All donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.

Many of the animals who remain at the sanctuary participate in our therapy and educational outreach programs and help to facilitate healing in the individuals seeking our help.

Our goals in our educational outreach program focus on Conservation, Preservation, and Education. We want people to be aware of what is happening in the wild with these animals and their native habitats and why it is important for us to work to preserve these lands for humans, animals, and the world in general. We also want them to understand why certain animals do not make good pets.

From a healing aspect we provide bodywork, long distance healing, and energy work for those looking for alternative ways to heal. We are in the process of beginning “Animal Theraplay”, a program where children of special needs can come for therapy with our animals. We also incorporate bodywork with these children and the results thus far have been astounding!

Come visit our sanctuary. Private tours now available by appointment. Meet, interact, and learn about the animals…an unforgettable experience! Call 828-348-8770 or email nicole@animalexperiences.com to book your tour today!

Animal Theraplay

Animal Thera-Play is based on the overwhelming results we have seen with animals as healers. The healing & teaching abilities of animals are truly infinite. While we are focusing on special-needs children, this program is open to anyone looking to experience the lessons, love, & healing that these incredible beings have to offer.

At Happy Tales, we have a team of animals & practitioners that are sensitive to the needs of each individual person that comes for Thera-Play. There really are no two sessions alike; each program is created for the individual person & their needs. Each & every animal has its own special gifts to give & lessons to teach. It truly is something that is beyond words & is a gift that you should experience.
