We don’t believe in half measures

Three years ago, we decided the only way to guarantee our customers the best CBD was to do everything ourselves: from seed to shelf.

We were so determined to complete this mission, we even spent two years constructing a facility to extract CBD from our own organically grown Cannabis Sativa L.

Agricultural Traditions

In the shadow of the sweeping Balkan mountains, our farmers sow Cannabis Sativa L. seeds on organically certified land, beginning the meticulous 9 month process to make every single Dragonfly CBD product.

From March to October, each plant is carefully nurtured using natural and organic farming techniques, completely pesticide free, harnessing practices that have been in place for nearly a century.

They say practice makes perfect and, over the last three years, we’ve had plenty of time to do just that. Last year, we were awarded a Global GAP certification. You’ve probably not heard of it, but put simply it means we’re quite good at farming.

Changing the Game

Few CBD companies – if any – operate their own extraction facility; it’s really complicated and a lot of work, but, at Dragonfly CBD, we enjoy a challenge. Three years ago, building began on our facility; the first step to ensuring we controlled every stage of the process.

Today, our tight knit team of expert distillers and craftsmen extract Dragonfly CBD’s industry leading CBD, in a EU-GMP standard facility, a stone’s throw away from the picturesque Olt Valley.

Whilst the ethanol extraction process remains a closely guarded secret, the end result is not. The cutting edge precision and high quality results can be felt by everyone across all our ranges.

The Finishing Touches

We take great care and pride in every single one of our CBD products. In fact, the whole process to create a single CBD product takes nearly a year.

This is why the final stage is completed to the highest quality possible, in a purpose built, GMP-certified pharmaceutical and medicines manufacturing facility.

This facility ensures uniformity and consistency across all ranges, as well as CBD products free from THC and other contaminants.

Difficult Times

The numbers of those suffering from a mental health disorder in the UK has been steadily rising since the early 1990’s. Awareness and destigmatization have done much to open up the conversation about mental health; yet, access and funding to support systems are still often in short supply.

Meanwhile, the Coronavirus pandemic has only worsened the current state of the nation’s mental health, with anxiety and depression levels rising in the lead up to lockdown and holding steady at their new highs.

Taking Responsibility

We know that many of our customers take wellness products for reasons such as anxiety or depression. Therefore, mental health is a part of our every day at Dragonfly CBD. Rather than resting on our laurels, we wanted to take a more active role in the fight to improve access to mental health support.

And so Dragonfly Community was born.

Dragonfly Community

Dragonfly Community makes grants to local, grassroots charities providing invaluable help and assistance to vulnerable individuals with mental health issues.

From September 1st we will be donating £1 from every product sold on dragonflycbd.com directly to Dragonfly Community to help those that need critical aid the most. And as Dragonfly CBD continues to grow, so too will Dragonfly Community, enabling the foundation to support more life-changing charities and organisations up and down the country.
