Hi, I’m Helena!

Are you ready to create impactful, elevated, story-telling imagery to communicate with your ideal customers and clients? If so, you’re in the right place.

My journey to running my own creative business started in the content and editorial teams at Urban Outfitters and MADE.COM.

I first picked up the camera in a professional capacity creating content for Urban Outfitters’ editorial channels for Europe. I used our team’s camera with the kit lens it came with – little idea of what I was doing! – and learned firsthand on the job. It was an incredible experience, photographing everything from artists and musicians to shop-keepers and homewares items. I fell in love with telling visual stories.

Having worked in those fast-paced content teams, I understand the need for quality, on-brand imagery. You’ve invested in a camera and equipment with the intention of doing it yourself, but in the end it’s trial and error, frustrating and not ending up with the results you want to elevate your visual offering. I’ll help you solve that struggle!

My attitude is to aspire towards a slower pace of life. My earthy, bright and joyful imagery captures the essence that your customers are after too: time to slow down, take some time for self-care, enjoy quality products that have been produced with thought and intention.

Your customers want to see how your products fit into the lifestyle they’re striving for. I approach my photography in a story-telling way that invites your customers to slip into that world.

My style favours a natural look. The set ups and styling are unfussy, calming and drawing on ceramics, greenery and natural materials to craft the story.

Product photography mentoring

I firmly believe there’s no ‘correct’ way to run a photography business. Instead, I want to help you find answers that feel intuitive for you through my photography mentoring.

Using the voice-noting app Voxer, I am offering 6 hour support sessions for product and food photographers to help you build a successful business, smooth out workflow issues and help you provide a professional service clients will love.

I hope my photography mentoring sessions are an invaluable resource for anyone who is frustrated with not finding the answers after hours of painful searching on Google and YouTube.

Where are you based? Do you travel?

I am based in Bristol where I shoot from my home studio. I also travel around the country to shoot lifestyle stories and have shot everywhere from Totnes in Devon to Driffield in Yorkshire.

What is your turnaround time for imagery?

I deliver your images within 10 working days, post shoot. If you require an express turnaround of images (within 1-3 days post shoot) a £100 processing fee is applied.

Do you have photography packages I can look at?

I don’t work with one-size-fits-all packages. Every job is wonderfully different! Instead, please get in touch to chat with me about your requirements and wish list and I can provide a bespoke quote.
