Providing safety, shelter, & dignity to farm animals in need and educating our community through experience.
We provide a home and safe shelter for unwanted farm animals. It is a compassionate environment where the animals are respected and can live a life free of fear. We adopt animals that have been surrendered by their owners or animals that have been abandoned and are found by concerned individuals or by other animal rescue organizations.
We also provide educational tours of the sanctuary so people can interact with the animals. We believe a large part of changing people’s attitudes towards farm animals lies in education through interaction. Very few people have had the opportunity to connect with the animals they find on their dinner plates.
The animals that have come to live here and the animals we have rehomed are living vibrant healthy lives. They are secure and unafraid. This is great for the animal, great for the person who was unable to keep their pet and through farm tours these animals teach people to respect livestock as you would any other living creature.
We offer sanctuary to chickens, ducks, geese, pigs, goats, cattle and other livestock. Although we would love to take in all the creatures that need our space is limited. If you have questions about raising livestock, building animal enclosures or even what kind of animal will fit your lifestyle please contact us via email info@floridarescuefarm.org or call (941)209-9558 we’re happy to help.

We greatly appreciate all donations. Our organization is entirely staffed by volunteers so 100% of your donations go directly to feed, supplements, shelter and vet care. As a 501(c)3 non-profit we rely solely on community support.
Your donation makes a difference in the lives of the resident animals and supports our educational efforts to enhance the lives of future generations.
We also accept recurring donations which are a tremendous help to the sanctuary. Our recurring donors provide for the daily needs of the animals and are a safety net we know we can rely on. Please click the donate button below or you can donate via text by texting RESCUEFARM to 44-321
Order your Florida Rescue Farm T-shirt! It’s a great way to show your support for these awesome animals!
We have a new line of t-shirts which are printed on shirts from an Accredited Participating Company of the Fair Labor Association. We felt it was important to not only support the animals on the sanctuary, but to do it in a way that treats the people making the shirts with respect and aligns to our moral values. We currently only have adult sizes, however we are ordering kid’s t-tees and tank tops. If you want a style or size not listed send us an email at mailto:info@floridarescuefarm.org and we’ll see what we can do. T-shirts are $25 with free shipping.
Donations come in many forms and in-kind donations are always a great benefit. Items that you may no longer have a use for can find a second life on the farm.
Do you have an old wheelbarrow lying around? How about that chain link fencing that’s just cluttering up a corner in your garage? We’re always looking for building supplies, tools, fencing, and numerous other things.
Managers and business owners can donate damaged feed or items and receive a tax deduction for their business. It’s a great way to turn food waste into a charitable donation! Contact us for more information.
The residents on the farm all have big personalities which is only matched by their big appetites. This is an chance to make a very direct impact. The farm definetly runs on feed. You can donate a single bag of feed, a roll of hay or you can feed the farm for an entire week! The choice is yours.
Please select the type of feed you would like to provide
We offer the opportunity to sponsor any of the animals on the farm. When you sponsor an animal at Florida Rescue Farm we will send you a Certificate of Sponsorship and a letter introducing your animal. We will then continue to send periodic updates about your new pal and you are always welcome to schedule a time to visit. If you have any questions or would like to know more about the animals available for sponsorship please email info@floridarescuefarm.org or call (941)209-9558
We love to have people visit the farm and we give private tours on Saturdays and Sundays. Tours start at 10:00 and usually take 1-2 hours. We are closed to visitors from June until October because the weather is so unpredictable and the heat is really tough on the animals so we don’t want to add any kind of extra stress.
We are not like a traditional petting zoo-type experience. Most of our animals free-range during the day so you may be approached by a cow or goat looking for a scratch behind the ears! Much of the experience is observing and interacting with the animals in their natural environment.
We recommend volunteers visit first so they can meet the animals and see our process. There’s always lots to do and we truly value our volunteers.
You can set up your tour date/time via email at info@floridarescuefarm.org and you are also very welcome to call us at 941-209-9558 to chat about the sanctuary and set up a time to visit.
Please read our Visitor / Volunteer Disclaimer.
The primary purpose of Florida Rescue Farm, Inc. is to provide safety, shelter, and dignity for farm animals in need. This guiding principle, that all animals should be free from exploitation and suffering, extends to all aspects of our non-profit. Therefore it is our policy that only vegan food will be offered at Florida Rescue Farm, Inc. and at any event Florida Rescue Farm, Inc sponsors.
Although this seems obvious we felt it was important to have as a policy for the farm. We were inspired to do this by Animal Place’s Food for Thought Program which helps nonprofits adopt mission-driven menu policies for fundraising and sponsored events. Please take a moment to check out their website and please pass it on to any of your favorite non-profits.
