Vegan Farm Sanctuary in Colorado

Mission

We urge all animal advocates to make a Change in the Direction of Vegan Advocacy

Our mission at Peaceful Prairie Sanctuary is to provide a safe, loving and permanent home for rescued farmed animals – not accepted at most shelters.

In addition to providing life-long care for the animals, we are dedicated to promoting vegan living as the only way to end the suffering and exploitation of animals.

Most of the residents of Peaceful Prairie Sanctuary were once victims of the meat, dairy, and egg, industry. They are the lucky ones. Billions more animals never get to know freedom, love, and security.

Each animal at Peaceful Prairie Sanctuary has their own sad story of abuse, neglect, and/or abandonment. At the sanctuary, they require and receive varying degrees of medical attention, social interaction, and most importantly, tender loving care.

Vision

Peaceful Prairie Sanctuary is made up of a core group of highly committed people who have extensive expertise in education, outreach, and animal care.

We combine our abilities to provide a safe and peaceful home for deserving animals while constantly creating innovative ways to speak out for the largest number of abused animals in the world, farmed animals.

Peaceful Prairie Sanctuary has been featured in all major Denver and Boulder newspapers, and both national and local TV stations. Our unique approach to farmed animal care and advocacy has gained us the respect of organizations and individuals nationwide.

History

We, Michele and Chris Alley-Grubb founded Peaceful Prairie Sanctuary in 1997 and have been involved in animal rescue and animal rights campaigns for over 20 years. We have always opened up our home to animals in need. Living on 140 acres allows us the unique ability to care for farmed animals. On Peaceful Prairie Sanctuary, we are dedicated to caring for the life-long needs of rescued farm animals, as well as an assortment of animals who „fall between the cracks.”

Our dedication and devotion to the environment and all living beings inspired us to promote vegan living.

Learn more about the benefits of vegan living and find out how it will help you, the environment, starving people, and of course, the animals. For an excellent introduction to vegan living, see the Vegan Starter Kit and the Vegan Guides.
