Genius Brewing was launched in 2018 with a mission to make healthier drinking a pleasure, not a compromise. Founders Jason Clarke and Charlie Craig anticipated the trend for healthier lifestyles would change how we drink, yet beer lovers still faced a stark choice between low calorie, no-alcohol products and tasty but ‘full fat’ beers. Why couldn’t they enjoy the best of both?

The craft beer revolution has changed expectations of quality, it came with a health cost – often high ABVs and a heap of calories. The ‘eureka’ moment for the Genius team was to create a ‘light craft’ beer with the quality of craft but the healthier attributes of ‘light’ beers. The result is Gen!us Craft Lager. #SmartDrinking

Now in our fourth year, the healthier drink trend is growing fast which has seen Genius Brewing featured in The Sun, Vogue, and on BBC’s Dragons’ Den. You can find Gen!us Craft Lager in smart bars, gastropubs, hotels, farm shops, and wine shops across Scotland. Come June, Gen!us will also be available in Spar stores across most of the UK. At Genius Brewing, we don’t just want to taste good, we want to do good. Jason played rugby with Doddie and his wife’s father died of MND and so this is a cause very close to our hearts.
